Artist Biography
My artistic journey has developed between Italy and Switzerland, two countries that have shaped my creative identity in different yet complementary ways.
I studied Economics in Florence, a city that profoundly influenced me not only academically, but also culturally. Living surrounded by the extraordinary heritage of the Renaissance allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for harmony, composition and the timeless power of art.
Later, I moved to Lecce, a city renowned for its Baroque architecture and sculptural tradition. There, I collaborated with young local sculptors, helping promote their work online.
This close connection with the artistic environment strengthened my fascination with the expressive intensity of the Italian Baroque, particularly its dramatic contrasts between light and shadow and its ability to transform matter into emotion.
In 2013, I moved to Zurich for professional reasons. Being away from the artistic atmosphere I had known in Italy inspired me to reconnect with that essential part of my life, and this is when I began painting.
Over the years, I explored different subjects and techniques, from reinterpretations of Renaissance masterpieces to landscapes and increasingly imaginative compositions.
Today, my artistic practice combines acrylic painting with masking tape techniques, allowing me to create precise geometric structures while maintaining expressive freedom through colour and light.
My recent works are characterized by abstract and figurative forms, strong chromatic contrasts and a balance between geometry and imagination. Through my paintings, I seek to create a dialogue between the cultural heritage of Italy and the contemporary perspective I have developed while living in Switzerland.
